Hey Tasteless,

First off, I'm not sure if you're going to read this (there hasn't been another post on this forum for a while). So I'll be happy if anyone on this site cares to comment/answer on my post. Or alternatively, If anyone knows of a better way to get in contact with Tasteless, or anyone else better fit to answer my question, I'd appreciate it if you could redirect me.

I'm a college student on the east coast (US) and I've casually played SC with my friends (and other Blizzard games), on-and-off, since I was about 12 years old. Only a few years ago, after searching the web, was I introduced to the concept of professional SC gaming.

Since then, I've found watching professional SC gamers to be more enjoyable than actually playing the game! I attended Blizzcon 2009 and saw you hosting the SC Tournament there. It was very awesome.

Unfortunately, I don't have much free-time to spend on following all the tournaments, leagues, etc... the whole Esport seems very complicated to me, and I don't know where to start. So, as a casual Starcraft player and fan, which tournaments or leagues would you suggest I keep track of? Is there a 'superbowl' of Starcraft gaming? And what website(s) would you recommend for following the sport?

Thanks,

Nairul

Hey,

the best site out there to follow SC is teamliquid.net . It is an amazing site where all leagues are covered and people discuss the game/scene and other stuff.

When it comes to leagues there are alot. Since the TSL 2 is running at the moment you should check it out. It is the biggest foreigner (non korean and chinese) league and Tasteless casts there too.

For professional SC (korean scene) there is the MSL / OSL and the Proleague. Since MSL and OSL are over and they are just starting I would concentrate mostly on the Proleague since it is Winners League format this round (Best of 7. One player plays until he loses). When the MSL and OSL are Ro 32/16 they get pretty good too. For korean SC the OSL is the biggest individual league and it seems to be great every single time. So Proleague and OSL pretty much rock it ;)
